President of Moldova, to meet President of Belarus

On the margins of the CIS summit in Dushanbe, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, had a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of bilateral and international issues. Also, Igor Dodon and Aleksandr Lukashenko have remarked with satisfaction the increase of the trade volume between Moldova and Belarus.

In this context, the parties highly appreciated the Moldovan Wine Festival, which had been organized recently in Belarus and held for the second consecutive year at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Moldova and under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Mr. Aleksandr Lukashenko invited Igor Dodon to visit Minsk on October 14th to attend the ceremony of sanctification of the Monastery of All Saints. In this context, the President of Moldova mentioned that the priest of the church was father Fiodor, one of the wisest priests in Belarus. "Last year, the cleric had a visit to Moldova at my invitation," Igor Dodon said.
